Things I Know: The Easter Edition

I know, everywhere you look, people have Easter-themed posts, and really, posting about it 4 days after easter has well and truly finished is like beating a dead horse.

BUT.

There’s some things I know about Easter that I wanted to share.

I know that Easter is about more than just chocolate. Yet consumers will spend approx $195M on eggs this year*.

I know that Easter (and Christmas) are excuses to eat whatever want and not feel guilty about it.

I know that I did not exercise over Easter. At all.

I know that my son has no idea why we have Easter, outside of the Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs.

I *don’t* know how many, or if any, of my friends went to church for easter. I know we didn’t.

I know Easter is the most important holiday for Christians who believe Jesus was crucified, died, and ascended to heaven.

I know Easter, for most Aussies, is an excuse for a 4 day weekend and to spend time with family and friends.

I know that next Easter, I’d like to just go away for a holiday, and pretend there are no Easter eggs or hot cross buns in the supermarket.

I know these are some interesting articles on Easter, Eggs, Religion and Obesity.

  2. I know I dislike Easter. Especially since BJ8 can’t eat Easter eggs and hates the fact.
We’ve decided next year the kids get an egg each and a pair of PJ’s.

It’s insane the amount of money spent isn’t it.

Thanks for linking up lovely one!
